What foreskin restoration method is best?

by Tally on January 12, 2010 Bookmark and Share

The best way to restore foreskin is by incorporating tugging into your lifestyleA common question by those starting foreskin restoration is what is the best way to restore a foreskin?  Which one of the numerous methods is best? Is one device better than another? Is a device better than manual tugging or t-taping?

To restore the foreskin, the shaft skin must be stretched and tensioned. There are many methods available to apply tension to the foreskin. Manual tugging is one. Tape is another method that includes T-Taping shown here and the T-Tape Picture Book here. Then there are all the different devices, including the the following:

  • CAT II Q
  • DTR: Dual Tension Restorer
  • Foreballs
  • Foreskin Natural Restorer: 4restore
  • MySkinClamp
  • Powdered Pull Balls - PPB for Short
  • PUD: Penile Uncircumcising Device
  • TLC Tugger: TLC-X bidirectional devices, TLC Tugger, and Packers
  • Weighted devices, such as spark plug sockets and trombone mouthpieces

All of these methods and devices work. At least, for every known method of tugging, there are many men who report that they have successfully grown skin.

But, the question remains, is any one better than the others? After extensive reading and talking with many guys restoring, I have not seen any evidence that any one method or device is better than any of the others. They all work.

Sure some guys make great progress. Others seem to tug forever without getting anywhere. My progress has been very good, going from a fairly tight erection to being able to masturbate with my slack skin in four months. Other guys using similar manual tugging methods and routine make slower progress. There are other factors in play besides the method and device used to tug the foreskin.

So, what is the difference? Why do some guys have good progress and others don't? It could be genetics, but I don't believe that accounts for the difference.

Restoring a foreskin takes time and effort. That effort must be made regularly. Those that report the least amount of success do not tug regularly and consistently. Many with poor progress say that the tug for a while and then stop for weeks or months before restarting.

Foreskin restorers that report the best results typically have formed a habit of tugging. They may not tug every day, but they tug regularly.  For example, they tug every day during the week with weekends off. They have a tugging routine and they follow it. They also experiment to see what works for them.

I have heard that if you do something for a month, it will become a habit. Ideally, tugging should become a habit. After tugging for a few months I realized that a lot of my tugging was automatic. I did not think about tugging or have to remind myself - I just did it. I had integrated tugging into my life so well that I feel like something is missing if I don't tug. Tugging became part of my lifestyle.

Bottom Line

The best foreskin restoration method is the one that you can stick with and do consistently every day. Time, patience, and consistency will produce results. The best way to stick with tugging is to integrate it into your lifestyle so that tugging is just something you do. The best method is the one that is not a chore, but becomes a part of your normal daily activity.
